LOL re La Befana. I keep trying to convince my kids to do the 12 Days of Christmas and open one present every day from Christmas through 12th Night, but they refuse. They can barely wait until Christmas morning to open their presents, so the idea of stringing it out 12 days doesn't appeal to them. I guess I should be thankful, though, since 12 presents would be an AWFUL lot.

Kid #1 researched non-American holiday traditions in Dec and we learned much about epiphany and La Befana. She was a bit upset to learn that if she professed great belief in La Befana (who brings presents to kids on night of 5th in case one might be Sweet Baby J), she still couldn't double dip in the Santa/Befana present giving.
